His Excellency the President William Samoei Ruto on 13^th July, 2023 commissioned The Chogoria Water Supply  Project. The event was also graced by His Excellency The Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH

The project is set to benefit 160,000 residents in Tharaka Nithi County. Currently the beneficiaries are approximately 1,000 households (4,000 people) and major institutions in Chogoria including, Chogoria PCEA Hospital, Chogoria Girls High School and Chuka University (Chogoria Campus).
