H.E the president William Samoei Ruto  on 5^th August, 2023, launched Kerugoya Kutus Water Supply Project.

This will ensure clean water for the residents of , Kutus, Kagio and Sagana. The transformative project aims to provide better access to clean portable water to approximately 350,000 people upon completion.

The president was accompanied by the deputy president H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH , Prime Cabinet Secretary, Hon Musalia W Mudavadi  CS Ministry Of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Hon. Alice Muthoni Wahome , governor Kirinyaga county Anne Waiguru among other leaders.
