Tana Water Works Development Agency held a stakeholder engagement on 22^nd September, 2023 with key stakeholders including Hon John Kaguchia P.G, MP, M.P Mukurweini, Hon Wambugu Wainaina, M.P Othaya and the local leadership for the proposed GURA Dam that is set to benefit residents of Othaya, Mukurweini and Tetu Constituencies.

Their insights, needs, and buy-in shape the project’s direction, ensuring alignment with goals and fostering collaboration.

The team then visited the proposed dam site in the Aberdares to understand firsthand the terrain, potential challenges, and local context.
