Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA) convened a stakeholder engagement forum for the proposed Nyambene Hills Wellfields Water Supply Project in Maua, Meru County. The forum, held on 10th April 2025, provided an open platform to deliberate on the project’s scope, objectives, and potential impacts on the surrounding communities.
The meeting brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including community representatives, local leaders, government officials, and technical experts. Discussions focused on reviewing the project design, identifying areas of potential impact, and collaboratively addressing any concerns that may arise during implementation.
By creating space for dialogue and input, the engagement underscored TWWDA’s commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and shared ownership. Stakeholders were able to voice their views, ensuring that the project reflects both community needs and sustainable water supply solutions for the region.
The Nyambene Hills Wellfields Water Supply Project is expected to play a transformative role in improving access to safe and reliable water in Meru County, thereby supporting social and economic development.
