Tana Water Water Works Development Agency, as a significant and strategic player in the Water and Sanitation domain alongside other stakeholders participated in the Water and Sanitation Investors Conference (WASIC) 2024 at KICC, Nairobi from 6th March and ended on 8th March 2024. The conference, themed “Accelerating Investments for Sustainable Access to Water and Sanitation for All,” provided a critical platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to converge and address the pressing challenges facing the water and sanitation sector.

As a key player in the sector, the Agency actively participated in the conference, showcasing its commitment to delivering sustainable water and sanitation solutions. The Agency leveraged the opportunity to highlight its past, current, and future projects, while also exploring avenues for public-private partnerships to bolster its efforts.

Officiated by the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation, Zachary Njeru, WASIC 2024 underscored the government’s dedication to ensuring equitable access to water and sanitation for all Kenyans. TWWDA, in alignment with this vision, emphasized the pivotal role of strategic partnerships in driving sustainable development.

By fostering collaborations with both government and private sector stakeholders, TWWDA aims to mobilize resources and expertise to deliver impactful water and sanitation projects. The Agency believes that through concerted efforts, it will significantly contribute to improving the lives of communities within its jurisdiction and beyond.

TWWDA recognizes the urgent need to address water scarcity and inadequate sanitation on a global scale. By actively engaging in platforms like WASIC 2024, the Agency demonstrates its leadership in the sector and its commitment to creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
