As part of the handover process, Tana Water Works Development Agency held a stakeholder sensitization meeting for Kaheraini Primary School Borehole in Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County on 27^th June, 2023. Community members were sensitized on the water works handover process, tariff setting and project sustainability.

The borehole, which was drilled to a depth of 180m has a yield of 22.22 m3/hr, will be operated by Nyeri Water & Sanitation Co. Ltd and will benefit about 1000 people. The institutions that will benefit from the project include Kaheraini Coffee Factory, Gatuang’ang’a shopping Center, Kaheraini Catholic Church and the neighboring community.
